ATTENTION:
The Easter egg hunt has been cancelled!
Due to the truth!!

The truth is that, what we celebrate today is not an rabbit, nor a pagan god of fertility. The thing that is real to us is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Let's look at this for a moment, the resurrection has been reduced to sharing it with a rabbit, a rabbit no less that's has eggs...rabbits don't lay eggs! God has said He is a jealous God and He will not share his glory with nothing or no one. But in our society, that is the very thing we have done. We have reduced the supernatural birth of Jesus, " He was born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Ghost", and celebrated an impossible action of a rabbit laying eggs. We have dismissed the single most important action in Human history, The Resurrection of Jesus Christ by God almighty, as an after thought. Family The Resurrection is everything.                                   Jesus came an proclaimed in Luke 4

4:16 Now Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, as was his custom. He stood up to read , 4:17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written, 4:18 “ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor . He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and the regaining of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, 4:19 to proclaim the year of the Lord ' s favor . ”

Now the importance of The Resurrection is  that it validated Jesus. When God raised Jesus from the dead it validated that Jesus is all He claimed to be! That act by God stamped Jesus' word as truth and forever. The Resurrection is what separates Christianity from all other world religions, and it is the foundation and proof that what Jesus has said to us we can trust. The spirit of The Lord is upon Him, that same spirit raised Him from the dead. The Resurrection is proof that he will set the captives free and give sight to the blind and free those who are oppressed. Jesus is all He said He is and He will do all He said he will do, and The Resurrection validates it all. So today celebrate The Resurrection of Jesus Christ, because it is the reason why we have the life we have. Jesus foretold of His death but not only that He also said He would rise again, He has Risen, and He has Risen with all power in heaven and earth given unto Him. Celebrate Jesus today and everyday.

Grace & Peace unto you,
Minister K.L. Berry
